Time to start fall gardens in Oklahoma
My summer garden is just now starting to produce crops but according to Oklahoma State University it’s time to start planning (and planting!) our fall gardens. Here’s a recap of what I want to plant and when to plant in the fall based off of OSU’s Fall Gardening guide:
- Lima Beans, August 10-20
- Cucumber, August 10-20
- Squash, July 15-Sept 1
- Beets, August 1-15
- Brussel Sprouts, July 15-August 15
- Leaf Lettuce, August 1-15
- Leeks, September 1
- Radish, August 15-October 10
- Spinach, September 5-25
- Turnips, August 1-September 15
I don’t have space for all that so I’ll have to make some tough decisions.
