Get out of Iraq (Just don't make me do it!)

Not surprisingly during the Sept 26 debate, virtually none of the Democrat candidates for President would commit to pulling out all troops fromIraq by 2013 (the end of the next President's term). Two candidates did commit, Dennis Kucinich and Bill Richardson. That's right, Obama, Clinton, and Edwards all refused to commit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ndVoh3SpLE

This should be surprising considering what each candidate has to say on their own websites:

"Obama has a plan to immediately begin withdrawing our troops engaged in combat operations at a pace of one or two brigades every month, to be completed by the end of next year." http://www.barackobama.com/issues/iraq/

"Edwards believes we should completely withdraw all combat troops in Iraq within nine to ten months and prohibit permanent U.S. military bases in Iraq. After withdrawal, we should retain sufficient forces in the region to contain the conflict and ensure that instability in Iraq does not spill over into other countries, creating a regional war, a terrorist haven, or a genocide." http://johnedwards.com/issues/iraq/

"Hillary's bill, the Iraq Troop Protection and Reduction Act of 2007, will end the war before the next president takes the oath of office. But she has also been clear: if George Bush refuses to end the war, when she is president, she will." http://www.hillaryclinton.com/issues/iraq/

So, we can count on Obama, Clinton, and Edwards to want US troops out of Iraq NOW...

Just don't expect them to make it happen.
